Lucy Williams ( nee Mordecai ) has followed in her paternal grandfathers footsteps renowned for his breeding, breaking and horsemanship.
The farm has always had horses whether working the land or for hunting but it was Lucy ‘s passion and Mervyn’s support and shared interest in horse racing that has turned a hobby into a successful horse breeding business.
A breeding programme began after buying a thoroughbred mare Trooney bought in New Market shortly after they married. Trooney produced Cudlic Melody sold to South Africa, pursuing a successful racing career. Anjenlea followed she produced Cudlic Candyfloss ( another race horse),
This changed when Lucy and Mervyn bought an Irish Draught Mare at Ballanasloe horse sale.
